Malaysia Digital Chamber of Commerce (MDCC) is a private non-stock, non-profit organization, founded by key players in the Malaysia digital commerce industry that encourages the expansion of digital technology through digital economy that will empower the business of its members. MDCC aims to create an environment that promotes learning, sharing, mentoring as well as provide support for its members who comes from a diverse business community. Our mission is to promote the acceptance and use of digital commerce assets and related technologies. Through education, advocacy and working closely with policymakers, regulatory agencies and industry, our goal is to develop a pro-growth legal environment that fosters innovation, jobs and investment.

Dato’ Ng Wan Peng is the COO of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation or MDEC, the lead agency in driving the digital economy in Malaysia. MDEC’s efforts are centred on driving investments, building local tech champions, catalyzing digital innovation ecosystems and propagating digital inclusivity. MDEC is also responsible to ensure that Malaysia plays an integral part in developing and nurturing talent to drive digital innovation around the world, while attracting participation from global ICT companies to invest and develop cutting edge digital and creative solutions in the country. Victor is the Founding & Managing Partner of Vynn Capital. He was formally the Vice President of Investments for Gobi Partners and managed two Southeast Asia focused early stage funds. Some of his notable investments include Carsome (Malaysia), Triip.me (Vietnam) and Travelio (Indonesia). Prior to that he was the largest venture capital fund of Malaysia, MAVCAP and was involved with direct and indirect investments. His earlier days was with Willis Towers Watson, advising corporate, pension and sovereign wealth funds on investment strategies. He was an honoree of the Forbes Asia 30 under 30 in 2017, Chairman of the Malaysia Venture Capital Association (MVCA) as well as a CFA charterholder and a Mensa member.

Michelle Chin

 

Digital Marketing Lead of Digi-X

 

Michelle is the Digital Marketing Lead of Digi-X, Digi Telecommunications’ venture builder arm. She currently oversees marketing efforts across all digital solutions within Digi-X, namely altHR, Omni Hotline and iFleet. She has held a number of roles during her time at Digi-X, spanning across business development, operations and product management for various B2B and B2C SaaS solutions. She is also a certified Scaled Agile Framework product manager and runs a personal finance podcast. Prior to Digi, Michelle dabbled in venture capital in Singapore, South Korea and had a stint in a performance marketing agency in London. Michelle holds a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science, Business Mathematics and Statistics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
